Help / what does the "glazing" brush setting do?

i dont understand the "glazing" quality or how it works. i wish to make a brush that will darken when the stroke overlaps itself, and any advice i see for that mentions glazing. however, when i play with the slider, it doesnt do that. it makes the stroke less opaque. how do i achieve my goal?

sorry, to clarify, by dithering i mean processing pixel brightness as dot density. this site (https://endtimes.dev/why-you-should-dither-images/) explains it much better than i ever could, mostly because i dont understand the computing process behind it whatsoever.

ive realized recently that the reason im often not pleased with the way threshold creates black and white is that i expect it to dither! is dithering something that can be added?

additional: perhaps sub groups in the brush menu? one of the brush packs ive downloaded has over 200 brushes in it and it would be great to be able to subcategorize them

Help / "saving problem" error popup (ios)

every time i leave the app and come back, artstudio pro has been giving me this error popup: "Saving problem. Document was saved, but next save may fail. Please close and reopen the document." and i did close and reopen the document, but it keeps coming up. whats going on?

i have very many brushes and i think it would be helpful to be able to search within the brush panel to find specific ones, or to be able to sort by tool.

im trying to make a cmy swatch group, but it keeps resetting the most recent ones to the brightest setting of that color. ive been having a few troubles with the swatch adding lately. please see attached image for a better explanation than i can give.

is there a way to separate an image into its cmyk layers? i know how to use levels to get the colors, but they arent transparent and i cant stack them back together

yes, but i want to be able to draw in the halftone filtermode. i can apply the filter, but any new stroke i make on that layer is in normal mode and i have to reapply the filter

i think a halftone layermode would work similar to dissolve, but with uniform dots instead. it would be nice to be able to toggle if its bigger dots or more dense to represent darker bits.

it would be real neat if there were more settings for brush emboss. i want to be able to change the angle of the shadow, and to change the color of the embossing. or to be able to give the emboss a blending mode.
