Under the select tab are options like expand, contract, smooth…mine are always grey…when do you use these?

Is there a way to get the brushes that are shapes ie: trees, stars, footprints...to go in random directions?

Go up to the change canvas and change your resolution to at least 600. I notice my stuff keeps coming in at 72...
