Thank you so much.  I just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong.  I am using to creating brushes with a transparent background but that was creating a transparent square around my brush.    It worked creating them with a white background.  #newthinking

I should note that I have no problems importing brushes that were created by someone else... I’ve imported about 35 successfully, but I can’t figure out how to make my custom image a brush.

I am struggling with how to create a custom brush from a black image with a transparent background.  Could someone please post a step by step tutorial for the ArtStudio Pro iPad version?
