Help / what is [ maximum velocity ] and [ Perpendicular Pressure ]

Can anyone explain what is [ maximum velocity ] and [ Perpendicular Pressure ]
In settings menu [Preference-Appel Pencil/Third-Party stylus].

I can't understand what is that two settings, I adjust their value but didn't see anything happens with my stylus.
