Ipad pro 2021 5GB RAM?
on: May 27, 2021, 11:58:03 AM
Hello!

Just wondering if there are any plans for Artstudio Pro to support the full 5GB of RAM memory that Apple allows apps to use on the new iPads?

Keep up the good work :)

Is it true that if your iPad app is reaching max memory it will be kicked out by the OS with no notice? Artstudio Pro seems to handle it fine but I've seen other iPad apps that just pops out of OS-heaven when getting heavy chunks of data.

Yes, allocating too much memory on iPad = app kill.
On Mac it is different, it has swap disk so app is just slowing down.

ASP uses a swapfile? I have overloaded ASP and it just get slower. Infinite painter drops dead and if you are lucky the painting is fine or the worse scenario, it's corrupted. Loosing hours of work is a big no no using an app bought for a fraction of the money you loose.

Yes, there is custom solution similar to swap file in Artstudio Pro.
