macOS:
- When hovering over a layer, either in the layer window or on the canvas, highlight that layer on canvas to show its location.
To easily find a layer on the list activate Move tool, change mode to 'Pick' and right click anywhere on the canvas to show layer (or layers) below the mose
- Add all the iOS options, such as showing/hiding all tools in the toolbar.
We will add that in the future
- Allow for 1-pixel nudge of selected layer(s) when using arrow keys.
You can do it, just activate Move tool and zoom to at least 70%.
macOS and iOS:
- Add a selection tool that allows users to tap/click on an element on the screen and select its layer, highlighting the layer and showing its transform handles.
As i wrote above, use Move tool with 'Pick' mode. To check current layer bounds you can also press 'Command' key (when Move tool is active)
Then use Edit>Transform (or Command T)
- Upon selecting a layer or layers in the layer window, highlight and select these layers in the canvas, showing their transform handles.
Acitivate Move tool and press Command. Or activate Edit>Transform for the moment
- Allow batch edit of layers, including text layers. Ex: I often need to change the size/rotation/color etc. for 20+ hand-drawn shapes/strokes or imported images at a time, or change the font size/style, etc. for 20+ text objects at a time.
Some operations are available for multiple layers: moving using Move tool, transforming (Edit>Transform), flipping/rortating 90/180, showing/hiding, changing opacity, duplicating, copying, deleting etc.
Filling, changing colors/fonts is currently not available, sorry. I will add these option to my todo list.
- Allow for free transform, including rotation at any angle.
You can do it: Edit>Transform and mode: Free
- Shape creation tool, including lots of shapes (stars, clouds, triangles, circles/ellipses, etc.) with corresponding transform handles.
Vector features will be added in the future.
- Allow for creation of gradients of various shapes and sizes, not just as fills for the entire canvas.
You can first Select something. Or draw something then use Gradient Fill tool with 'Lock Transparency' enabled. Or use gradient on a Clipping Mask layer. Or use layer mask. Or use 'Gradient Overlay' layer effect.
- Allow for editing of existing gradients.
Do you mean Gradient preset item? You can do it in gradient editor. After editing remember to add new preset or overwrite.
You can also adjust gradient setting in Gradient Overlay layer effect
- Add a mode/option where any stroke of the pen creates a unique layer for that stroke.
This is not a good idea, too many layers will slow down the app. You can do it manually (Cmd+Shift+N to add new empty layer)
iOS:
- Allow for 1-pixel nudge of selected layer(s) by tapping above/below or to the right/left of the layer, like Procreate.
If you have a iPad with keyboard you can use Arrow keys when Move tool is active. If not - use Edit>Transform.
Thanks for your suggestions. Some of them have to wait, but quick Text Layer formatting will be added soon.
