It shows correctly in the brush settings view.

Adding item to favorite tool presets copies all tool options and its brush. It is just a copy, not a reference, so after you change brush name (or any other brush setting), favorite item stays unchanged.

this is another reason why im suggesting an "erase instead of drawing" button, or im going to end with 5734583479587398 eraser presets :\

Right now the proper naming is the ONLY way to keep favs more-less organized. Unless you plan to add favs management feature in the future...
