Blending brushes?
on:

Are there any blending brushes, i.e. non-color loaded brushes that pick up and average underlying colors?
I see some brushes called blenders but can't discern any difference in behavior between say, acrylic brush in Painting and the Acrylic blender in Smduge.
I really like the organic character of the brushes in this program but I feel very constrained without a way to properly blend. There are lots of adjustment parameters that I don't understand so it's probably in there. Which is another question-- how can I find how what all these options mean? Is there a manual? Most of these are standard terms but some are not.
Thanks,
Joel

Absolutely: smudge brush at low flow. You'll have to play with textures on it. I recommend having 5-6: basic, cloud texture, grunge, small soft, bone dry brush, etc.

Check Smudge tool (and brushes from Smudge group). And Wet Paint tool (with brushes from Wet Painting group).
