Hello,
I would like to report a visual issue I encountered while using your software. I hope this information can help your team verify whether it is a known issue or something that requires future correction.
Issue Description:
When I apply the “Darken Color” layer blending mode or use the Hue/Saturation adjustment, the previously unpainted white areas on the canvas unexpectedly turn black.
This behavior does not occur when neither of these operations is applied.
Expected Result:
White (unpainted) areas should remain white and should not be affected by layer blending or hue adjustments.
Actual Result:
White areas are incorrectly rendered as black, causing an unnatural darkening or inverted effect on the canvas.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new canvas (white background).
2. Add a new layer and fill it with any color.
3. Perform either of the following actions:
- Set the layer’s blending mode to “Darken Color”, or
- Use the Hue/Saturation adjustment to change hue.
4. Observe that the previously white areas of the canvas turn black.
Test Environment:
• Device: iPad Pro (Model A1701)
• Operating System: iPadOS 17.7.10
• App Version: Latest version (as of October 2025)
Additional Notes:
This issue may be related to how white pixels are processed during color blending or hue conversion. It seems the algorithm treats white areas as darkenable pixels, resulting in incorrect black rendering.
Thank you for taking the time to review this report.
If needed, I can provide a screen recording or sample file to help reproduce the issue.
I look forward to your response and any updates regarding this behavior.
Best regards
