Recently I upgraded from a 10.5 Ipad pro to a 12.9, and with it got the apple pencil 2nd gen. I was excited to have pen hover in Artstudio pro.
However, I'm noticing an issue now that I didn't have before. If I touch and hold the screen with a finger or my palm and then immediately try to draw using the Apple Pencil, the brush/tool will fail until I lift my finger.
I've tried every setting, including disabling all touch gestures in artstudio pro, and even using pencil-only mod e doesn't help. It's making it very hard to use the app for any kind of drawing, as even nudging the canvas with my ring finger or middle finger while manipulating the pencil can interrupt the flow of my painting.
this does not happen in inverse. If I begin the stroke first and then touch the canvas with my finger, it will behave normally. It seems to have something to do with the way Artstudio pro registers touch inputs, causing them to conflict with strokes.
Procreate does not have this issue.
A finger touch really shouldn't conflict with or prevent brush strokes, regardless of its function and especially in pencil only mode.
