Author Topic: Give indication when picking a layer with the Move tool if it’s inside a group  (Read 1766 times)

Hope the title explained it.

Currently if you have a some layers, in multiple layer groups, and the groups folder are collapsed.
When you pick a layer from canvas with the Move tool, there is no indication of which group this newly selected layer is in. you have to open groups one by one to find out which contains the picked layer.

Maybe the containing group can have a subtle indication , maybe a thin yellow border or something .
I know that having the group all highlighted yellow will not work because it means the whole group is selected.  So then maybe a more subtle solution like a thin border will work.

Or a better solution is:

Automatically open the group that contains the layer (if it was collapsed) and highlight the layer.

Hello, Another suggestion about picking a layer with the move tool:

Automatically switch to the previous tool (for example, brush tool) after picking a layer from canvas.
