Shapes

After drawing an ellipse, rectangle etc., could it be possible to make it so we can rotate and move them? Or is there already a way of doing it that I don't know?

Currently you can transform (move, scale rotate etc) a selection only together with a layer (you can use empty layer to transform the selection).
Selection Transforming will be available in version 1.1

The whole "transformation" business is not well organized. There is a move tool (cross hairs on the top of the toolbox)that doesn't do much, just move. Normally people do move/rotate/scale in one operation. That's why I never use that tool, use transform instead.

But even in the transformation there is no universal transfer like in many other apps, where there is a special handle for rotation. What's the point of a separate "move", when you can move (and rotate) in "scale"? Other then the still inability to lock the pivot point, which makes moving the layer instead of the pivot point on small objects very hard indeed. So I ended up with using scale had free.

The whole thing would not be needed if the top cross could move/rotate/scale or free transform. It could be a switch of modes on the bottom. Layer vs. selection is not a problem. In other words, why invent a bicycle?

I would hope in the future that there could be another way of moving. resizing, and rotating squares and circles.

Instead of an extra tool to transform circles and ellipses, it would be great to draw ellipses, circles or rectangles with the selection tool. Like in „autodesk sketchbook“ (desktop version).
The best way to draw e.g. tires, glass, ...

You can paint ellipse/rectangle with Paint tool.

You can also select ellipse/rectangle and fill it to get filled shape
You can select ellipse/rectangle, then use Select->Border, then fill to get nice ellipse stroke.

If you could add a rotate to circles and rectangles, I could live with working with that way of creating drawings.

If you mean having the paintbrush selected and selecting eclipse or rectangle as the mode.....yes. Or even using the select tools and being able to rotate after eclipse or rectangle section.....fill.
I like to slant my eclipses and rectangles. Not just have them at 90/270 or 0/180-degree angles.
