Eraser

Hi,

Unless I misunderstood something, the eraser does not erase, but writes using the current color.

Regards,

Do you mean ArtStudio or Artstudio Pro?

Maybe "Lock Transparency" is enabled in current layer?

PRO.
You are right, the layer (background) was locked by default.
However, it is somewhat surprising that the eraser paints on a locked layer instead of doing nothing (possibly with a warning about the layer being locked).
Thanks for the answer.

This is typical behaviour in most apps supporting Lock Transparency.
