Some considerations and suggestions
on: October 21, 2018, 11:44:21 AM
Hello, Lucky Clan team!

First of all, english is my second language... So forgive me if something is terrible.
I`m now using ArtStudio Pro as my main paint app on the Ipad Pro. Mostly cuz of the powerfull brush engine and the option to use my PS brushes. So here comes my considerations and some suggestions:

1 - I liked the quick menu but I couldn't find and option to add "Flip Horizontal" that we can find in Image>Flip/Rotate Image>Flip Horizontal. That would be very nice to have. Would be even nicer to have a button for that in the UI.

2 - Speaking about Flipping the canvas. This action in ASP is a little bit laggy for me depending on the image size and number of layers. I tested the same files in the competitor app and the flipping was instantaneous. Maybe something like the flipping in Clip Studio Paint would work for ASP. It`s not a real time render of the image. It`s something like a "previsualization" thing. For exemple: if you flip the canvas, save the file immediately and than open it, you will see that the image isnt flipped.

3 - I miss an option to select layer content like Ctrl+clicking on the layer in PS. This is very handy for me and I think a lot of users need that.

Well, for now these are my thoughts about what can change in the app. Let me know if I am doing something wrong.

1. We will add that asap.
2. Maybe you should just use View>Mirror - it doesn’t change image content but just displays canvas mirrored
3. Use Select>Alpha To Selection

I was doing sh**! :-[

I found the option (even in the quick menu). Thank you!

One more thing: would be nice to have a custom shape tool.
