Gradient improvement request
on: June 25, 2021, 06:12:37 AM
Hello
Just wanted to say first that this app is super awesome 👏
Definitely becoming my favourite on iPad Pro

I use gradients a lot in my workflow
I frequently need to use the Current color (any color chosen from color palette or picked from the canvas ) as a starting point of the gradient. (The other end of the gradient would be to transparency for example ).

I think this would be very useful for users to have an option in gradients that starts from the current color and updates dynamically when you pick a different color etc.

Thanks a lot!

When you're on the gradient tool, tap the little window icon on the bar on the left!

Oh nice ! Didn’t know about this.  :D

But it’s still a bit problematic

When you tap on the color square (at the bottom on that bar you mentioned on the left) , it opens another color palette window that you have to close down before you can do the gradient .
Also if pick a color from the canvas it takes you back to the brush tool.

Maybe you should be able to use the current (same) floating color palette for gradients. And picking colors from canvas while in gradient mode loads the color picked into the gradient.

I tested this (on the bar on the left)l and it actually works if the gradient mode is set to ‘color” but doesn’t work when it’s set to “opacity “. Maybe it’s a possible bug?

Thanks!  :)
