I am also in favour of smaller panels, especially narrower in width, to leave more room for the painting. Also, the panels won't go right up to the top, which wastes space

Can someone please explain to me what the "mix rate" parameter in the brush settings does. I can't really make it affect anything!

I agree. Extremely useful, and it's already an option for the Hue Jitter in the brushes
