Strange I didn't trigger it. Same OS version and hardware. I'll try again when I get a chance to sit down with the iPad. I'm terrible at following instructions so I might have done something wrong, I usually do.

Have you checked the parameters for the fill tool? Sometimes when I get strange effects I have set the blending mode to something else than normal by accident. I have the 2017 iPad pro 13 and I could not reproduce the behaviour.

A little project between commissions. Latest MacOS version. 57 layers and adjustment layers in 3500x4300px. No hiccups or strange behaviour on my Mac M1 Mini 16GB. Seriously Sylvester, did you reverse engineer Photoshop?
