Unfortunately however our team is not too big and we just don't have too much time for non-app activities.

Simple tuits in X would do the trick 😅

Looking forward to check that notes app and the new engine.

I'm also looking forward to see new things in ASP, thanks for sharing, it felt it was being abandoned but it's good to know what the developer is up to.

Cheers.

Sorry for the lack of replies. Here are few details what we are doing now.

2 years ago we start working on new graphic engine that was going to be used in future Artstudio Pro. First we were developing Artstudio and the engine simultaneously.
But as the engine was more and more advanced, few months we decided to finally finish it. That's why we temporary almost dropped Artstudio development.

To finish everything in the engine, fix bugs, make optimizations etc we decided to make small note-taking app (vector). We didn't want to use the engine in Artstudio because it could me make Artsudio unstable and buggy.

The note-taking app is almost ready now, and we really love how it works! The strokes are perfectly antialiased and smooth, framerate never drops below 120hz, saving is instantenous.

We also fully switched to SwiftUI and implemented great new UI, with nice draggable panels.

After we finish the note app we will return to Artstudio. It should take 1-2 months for that.

That's the story :)

Ok dude. I was just sharing its being featured.  ::)

This is kind of unnecessarily hostile. They weren't at all being rude with their response

Yeah well, I felt the same with the above comment from the developer. Anyone knows that some markets are smaller than others.

And if that market doesn't generate "too big revenues" it's perhaps because no one knows about the app, everyone here uses procreate as everywhere else and that precisely is the point. I was glad it was being featured in the local App Store so more people here knows about it.

Anyway, moving on.

Here. Mex Apple Store …

"On the other hand.. if you think about it, "lifetime” means exactly that: the lifetime of the app and no one knows how long it will last in it’s current state. Let me clarify: the developer can release an "all new app" under a different name that’s subscription only, and the current ArtStudio Pro won’t be updated any more"

We don't have plans to release any new "Artstudio" app anytime soon.
Lifetime License is exactly the same as "One Time Payment" model we used before. The advantage is users can test the app before buying it.

Hey, welcome back to the forums, we surely missed you, and after the switch it many of us were left wondering, so thanks for addressing this.

If one of the main reason for the switch is the exposure you’re hoping to get on the App Store, then that’s understandable. As long as the plan is not going subscription only sometime in the future, I really don’t care and I hope you get the exposure you’re after. Being the app I like the most for drawing, I really want it to succeed, so my best wishes for the company in the new year.
