This is probably the first claim that is not lying. You have the best running software on the market right now for digital art on mac os, photoshop is a bloat, artstudio's speed beats it like a pro. Affinity struggles with zooming in steps. It also has a problem with good rendering of the image after rotating the canvas. And all the rest of the programs are bugs and optimization problems. There are three things that will do with ArtStudio a true PRO.
Interface:
- the choice of brushes remains to be considered, it is too slow and interferes with the choice of color. How about adding a favorites option. And while in the "B" brush under the right button (or keyboard shortcut) make a window with favorites on small squares? or even under a simple list with names. (unless adobe patented it ... like most things) That would be a great help. The idea of selecting brushes has to be fast, currently it's slow. Alternatively, the option to change the brush strokes into small squares in the current menu would solve the problem
The selection of brushes after several hours is done visually - locally. There is no need to name them on the thumbnails, and there is no need to show your brushstrokes. Everyone has their favorite brushes
remembers where they are.
- Choice of colors: the color wheel is a must have ... the smallest possible window. The current cube covers a large part of the working space ...
I think the idea here was to turn on this window and have a color selection under hand and from the menu on the right to have brushes. Except that currently the color menu covers too much of the screen and the menu with brushes is difficult to use.
And last one thing: please do these two things!
There are still a few bugs and things to dream about, but these two in my opinion are the most serious at the moment.
Brush engine in my opinion is really unique. Do not change it.
Great job, I would pay more for this program. Works crazy good. with my Wacom Cintiq 22HD
