Thanks for the reply.
And what about ‘save as’? Is it possible to open png< edit and save as .psd or jpg in new location?

You can use HSB sliders for accuracy

You can add a custom button on the toolbar. Or tap on color squares in color weel panel

Hey

Is it possible to rename the currently opened document(s) without going to the file browser? Before the update, it was possible to rename opened (or newly created) documents in the ‘opened window’ panel after tapping ‘edit’. Is it a bug or it was disabled on purpose? Why do we have ‘edit' then?

Is it possible to save opened document to a new location (like ‘save as’ and then choose where to, and add a new name)? I mean without using the file browser.

Is it possible to open PNGs as a new document from the built-in file browser? If not, can we have it?
Like: Open png from anywhere on the device (e.g. download folder), edit png (add layers, etc.), be asked about saving on autosave or document close -> add the new name, and choose a new location on that prompt.) And also to be able to save files after editing as same png (merged layers, etc.) in the same location.

It was predictable :D

I think vector tools should be the same as in photoshop. Vector Pen and Vector shapes. Vector paths for raster brushes (like in Clip Studio Paint) should be the next step.

6
Also would be great to have full compatibility for vector layers via PSD format

Can you please dig a little deeper before coming to conclusions?

Adobes custom shape file format is only a bunch of vector shapes. You render them as raster or keep them as vectors/path in PS. There are a lot of bundles to be downloaded for free and very handy when working with design or basic composition.
That post is from 2010… well I don't know ::) I assumed Sparth doesn't use those in his work jugging by his latest public videos and works and looks like I was right in a way. But he used to use some, so by bad  :) Though, the fact he didn’t use vector shapes in his latest stuff says a lot.

I’m aware of custom shapes. I use them every day. That is why I wrote about those in my first post. Also, I’m aware of techniques related to vector shapes. That is why I wrote about clipping masks, blur, and layer styles. (I have to admit, vector for concept art is not so great as it can seem at first. For me at least. But this is not a place to discuss this.) Anyway, custom vector shapes are great as a tool, very good to have.

From what you wrote above, basically, all you want in addition to what I wrote in my first post here is the vector shapes library. A good suggestion I guess. I personally think this is not mandatory, but it's not for me to decide ;)

Custom shape tool that can render vector objects in pixels too. Crazy fast to work with when creating concept art. Take a look at the concepts using this technique.
Nicolas Bouvier aka Sparth. Concept artist worked on Halo among many many other projects.

Seems like it has nothing to do with vector. He just uses custom brushes with clean shapes.

Anyways, any vector tool in raster editors will be rendered as a raster.

I’d love to have a Photoshop-like custom shape tool. With the ability to have gradient fills on and blur as a vector parameter for shape.
For a pen tool, we have to think about how to change node type (sharp/smooth) and move on the fly (touch with 1-2 fingers, as modifiers). Similar to pressing alt and control while drawing and for post edit of a vector shape/stroke. Affinity Designer has decent pen tools. Vectornator too (For references)
Also, there has to be some "edit-mode" for post-corrections. Clip Studio Paint can be used for UX references if we are talking about raster stroke on vector path (hybrid) situation.
Vector shape layers should have the ability to be used as clipping masks and to have a layer style on them.
There should be an option for node/handle size for pencil/finger users

There’s one stroke mode in Infinite Painter wich I really like. It’s Hatching.
I’m curious if we can have it in Artstudio. It seems not so difficult to implement

No worry, we are reading all replies.

it IS a bug,but i think you should start a new topic on this forum,im afraid that Lucky Clan he would ignore your report here.

Really don’t want to spam here :)
What is the best way to report bugs?
Create a new topic? Post to a related topic? Or report through app (with 'send feedback' button)?

Just found a minor bug with the transform gizmo
If you drop an image as a new layer and then if you drop another one while transformation is still on, the transformation frame will behave in a weird way :) (video attached)

Oh, that’s right, it crashes. Haven’t noticed it at first

Hey
I have some trouble opening references from files.(iPad Pro)
Tapping on command just minimizes artstudio and nothing happens.
Open references from photos work fine

So they have to be marked at once? Not very convenient. At least it works ^-^
Thanks!
