I added the Erase Blending mode to the quick menu and it behaves the way I was expecting.
Seems its a property, so when I select the Erase Blending option on the quick menu, it puts a tick mark to enable it for the current brush. To get the brush back to painting mode, select it again in the quick menu to disable that and revert back to the painting mode which is fine. What is the different between an eraser and an erase mode then? I understand erase mode is tied to a brush still but doing the erase operation though.
About the favorite presets popover, yes I understand currently we can use it to select adding the favorite brushes there and accessing them.
But having the ability to select a brush from the quick menu will improve the work flow drastically especially when someone is using a specific brush or couple of brushes quite frequently.
