After an update the colour wheel became too small. It’s really uncomfortable to use

Yah, that change is EXTREMELY annoying, hope the UI changes that are coming who knows when are not as bad as that "no one asked for that change" update. The only thing the color panel needed was a way to resize it (for swatches) since it was already too small before you made it even smaller... but dunno, already gave up on this dev, and seeing how bad and basic the notes app is... meh

It was fixed in ver 5.2.3, do you use that version?

Using 5.2.4 on IpadOS 18, the color wheel is still small (as OP's image) and with the useless slider on top that only makes getting to swatches more annoying.
By the way, when you tap the swatches tab button, it shows the swatches and after 1 second of delay the tab content does a weird jump, making me usually pick the wrong color because of that jump (are you trying to center vertically the selected swatch on tab change? if so... why?)

But is it the most recent iPadOS 18.3.1?
I need as much info as possible to repeat it because everything looks fine on my iPad
