Title: Persistent Errors Importing .PSD Files in Art Studio Pro
Post by: KatyTanis on February 26, 2023, 08:30:18 PM
Hi,
I have gone back and forth with Lucky Clan help and have not found a solution to this problem. My preferred method of working is to import .psd files via dropbox onto my iPad. Most of the time it works seamlessly. But every few months I get an import error, and once I get an import error it causes 2 days of stress. Any file I try to open after that will not work - even opening via various different methods. So it is not a dropbox issue, though opening via dropbox might set off the issue. But once it happens I can't open from iPad either.

The Two errors I get
1. "Unable to Import Document An error occurred while trying to import a document: The file "Untitled4.artsudio" couldn't be opened because there is no such file.
2. "Unable to Import Document An error occured while trying to import a document: The operation couldn't be copmleted. (NSFilePRRoviderErrorDomain error1.)"

And then most recently after this issue at some point in the middle it would import documents but all the layers were blank (see photo). this was the first time that happened to me so not sure what is going on there. Even if I flattened photoshop files or made them small first. After re-installing and uninstalling they no longer imported blank but swapped from error 2 to error 1 above.

Notes:
-Files exist and are not corrupt. They open fine in photoshop. I try resaving, importing in a ton of different ways. Once the error goes awa, I can open any of the files I tried to open
-This happens to me every few months. And have no problems in during times when it's working.
-I have no idea what makes this start happening, but once it does I cannot get a file to open in any way. I try from dropbox, via photo, directly from iPad. And I will get the same errors. I restart and update ArtStudio Pro, Operating systems. Computer, ipad, Photoshop. Cleaning up space on my iPad. Nothing seems to fix it.
-It eventually just goes away - for no apparent reason. But it usually takes about 2-3 day. Again, I have no idea what eventually makes it stop happening.

I hope someone can help. It is so frustrating when I am on deadline and this ruins my workflow.

Thank you.
