Elastify Glitch

Every time I use the elastify tool It creates bubbles all over my painting, making it look like a paint pour. It’s doing this on my new M4 iPad but not on my old 2017 iPad. They are both running the same Artstudio Pro version.
Is this a glitch or a new feature that I’m missing?
