It is difficult to catch the reason. Maybe after a certain amount of time, maybe after a certain number of layers and effects. The tap gesture stops working on the layer panel for layer selection. If you want to select a layer, you should now tap and hold the layer with an Apple pencil. After the restart app, it works fine for maybe 5 minutes and the bug comes again. On a new file, it works without problems for about an hour.
