Please test it in version 5.1.5.

The pigment mixing is affecting locked layers. I like to work with a "toned" layer underneath the painting layers, but I don't want to affect that layer, so I put all three locks on and the pigment mixing is still affected by the locked layer.
Is there a way to avoid this?

Well, ideally there should be 3 options:
1. Set Pigment layer blending
2. Set Pigment tool blending
3. Turn on/off Pigment mode (like Pigment button in Layers panel)

Hi ! I'm adding this here instead of starting a new thread.
First and foremost, the pigment color mixing is amazing. I had been waiting years for a good implementation of a realistic color mixing in digital. You guys nail it.
Now to the request
Can we have the option of the pigment button in que Quick Menu?
Idealy there will be 2 options. The brush pigment button and the one in the layers panel.

First of all try to use swatches from "Skin Tones" group.
To do it open Colors panel, tap "swatches" icon in the bottom bar, then scroll to "Skin Tones" and tap group title (Skin Tones) or pick any swatch from this group

I think it is not needed because if you create a new layer it will copy Pigment button state from the active layer

I agree Mac version needs some works to make UI more modern etc.
Unfortunately our team is very small and Artstudio sales are not enough to hire more advanced developers.
We are going to improve Mac version, but we cannot give any deadlines actually.

Version 5.1.3 is available. App now saves Full Version state in its own cache and uses it when offline. It stores cached state for two weeks.
