FYI this happens with all brushes not just the custom brush. I've been testing different settings but cannot seem to pinpoint what could be causing the beginning of the stroke to act this way.

Could you send me the  brush you used to draw that?

Sure thing, this link should work for you

Sorry should have been more specific!

If you check this image ^ hopefully it demonstrates what I’m seeing, I circled in red where it’s really noticeable. Where you can really see it is in my box test and dagger strokes. It feels/ looks like a taper is being applied to the beginning of my stroke, immediately followed by my stroke being a little blown out (Wider&darker) than expected. You can kind of see it in my circle test too.

All my brush curves (Global & brush) are set to be flat. It’s kind of difficult to explain but it just really changes the drawing experience from the current release. Let me know if I can provide any additional details! :)

Just one thing to add right now

  - drawing beginning taper feels off somehow. Like it isn't being calculated immediately. Not sure if it has to do with the double pressure curve (which is great!). But makes drawing feel off a bit. Love some of the other improvements though :)

Thought I'd just have a sketchbook thread instead of new topics each time! haha :)
Painted 100% in ASP

Sam Nielson has some really great brushes he posted on his blog like 5-6 years ago. He has some really great blending brushes he uses Check out this blog page and you can see a breakdown of the brushes and a link to dl them:

Dave Greco is another artist whose work I really admire - he has some brushes he gives away too:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/g6dw5bq52cmwq2x/Davegrecoart_Brushes.abr?dl=0 - this link should work, he has a great youtube / twitch where he paints using these brushes.

...happy painting!

Painting from a couple of weeks ago.. some random weird flying character haha. Used Dave Greco's DG Main brush painting this and that's pretty much it. Really loving this program!

I noticed that when I exported a few of my ASP files on my iPad to PSD - the layer effects were missing. I can easily create these but I was wondering if this is a bug or expected behavior?
Thank you!

*Feature request for digital painting*

There is a plugin called Coolorus https://coolorus.com that I use when painting in photoshop. It includes things like:

Gamut Lock
Luminosity Lock
Color Harmonies

It is super helpful when painting, and I really miss being able to use it on the iPad. Would LOVE to see it in ASP. It is something that neither Clip Studio Paint or Procreate have and I think could be a differentiator.
Thanks again, been really loving the program.

Sketching tonight...

I think setting per dynamic would be really neat! Or at least the main dynamics (size, flow, opacity).

Hi all,

Loving Artstudio Pro! In the future I’d love to be able to modify the pressure curve on a per brush / per attribute basis. I love how clip studio does that, brings a lot of control to the brushes.
Thanks!
