never mind, if you set the layer mode of the group to pigment it fixes it, hopefully that helps anyone else that might stumble upon this!

If a group has a pigment layer in it, a clipping mask layer on the group does not do anything. Is this a bug, or a byproduct of the pigment layer mode?

A workaround is simply to select the group and mask the clipping layer, just reporting a potential bug.

Could you check if it happens on iCloud / local disk (On My iPad) / both?

it was gone for a bit, but i suddenly started getting the "Document was not saved! Please close and reopen the document" popup every autosave or if i manually save

it seems to have fixed itself, but i don't use icloud, so it was on local disk

scratch that, it only occurs within a certain document. the reason it was gone was that i had made a new one. it could be the size of the document, which is over 300mb.

Hello, not sure if this was always a thing but now when horizon assist is turned on along with snap to perspective grid, your lines also snap in the horizontal direction, so if the horizon line is flat lines will snap to an invisible 180 degree line.

I can see why this would be useful, but when the perspective grid is in two point and one of the vanishing points is very far away, it can be frustrating because I keep accidentally drawing on to the 180 degree line. However, I still would like to be able to snap to the vertical horizon. I understand that one solution could be to use a 3rd vanishing point without horizon assist, but often I would like perfectly vertical lines instead of ones going to a 3rd vanishing point.

It would be nice if it was possible to turn of the horizontal horizon assist, thank you.

The title is pretty self explanatory, though it is only when you raise the saturation, lowering it works fine. here's a video of how the bug looks like.

bumping cause i thought about this feature and wish art studio it, it's really useful for gradients and getting the exact color you want, with an example of what i mean by it

I don't know if this is a bug or working as intended, but when you group a layer with a pigment layer changing the grouped layer's blending mode does something weird to the pigment layer.

9
You guys know you can increase the brush's wetness in the settings right...? This is a nonissue

Wanted to say I love the global pigment mode, much easier and simpler than having to switch on the tool and layer mode

One bug I found is when you have pigment mode turned on a layer, if you make a new layer and then turn off pigment mode for that new layer, it deletes the layer.

yeah, ive noticed this too. it's like a full one and a half second of delay before each switch, it does grow more annoying over time

i use a gen 3 ipad pro and with the 6th gen one out my fear is that it's gotten outdated. hopefully that's not the case and it's a fixable bug

Yeah...
I'm aware it will come off as disrespectful to throw in an opinion of how to run an app, and I appreciate the lifetime license to current users so I say this for 0 personal gain but only because of that fact that I like ArtStudio a lot, and am passionate about it being the best painting app on the app store, so oh well.

Subscription models are a good way of nosediving an app into the ground, people generally tend to be incredibly averse to those. There is a reason clip studio paint and callipeg have 3 stars on the app store. I understand that this might be a way of branding ArtStudio as the more professional and premiere software that it is, and maybe this is just the direction most digital painting software is going but getting a negative reception from this seems like a likely outcome to me...
