To be stubborn as hell. ;D He is still using the technique. He started in 2010 and a lot, recent and history, of his art shows that he's still using it. But this is not important.

The question is, what basic functionality would be best to implement first as a base to build future more complex tools on?
Personally I like to use custom shapes. General vectors? Not very excited. I just read the word custom shapes and got euphoric.  :-*

(Vectors gives me flashbacks to when I was studying "Black magic of 3D game programming in C++". A very traumatic part of my life.)

Can you please dig a little deeper before coming to conclusions?

Adobes custom shape file format is only a bunch of vector shapes. You render them as raster or keep them as vectors/path in PS. There are a lot of bundles to be downloaded for free and very handy when working with design or basic composition.

Custom shape tool that can render vector objects in pixels too. Crazy fast to work with when creating concept art. Take a look at the concepts using this technique.
Nicolas Bouvier aka Sparth. Concept artist worked on Halo among many many other projects.

Pencils are really slow on my M1. They where already slow in the latest version 3, but now they have crossed the border in to the land of serious lag.  ???

Ok. I'll test it with a mega project. If you don't hear from me in a while, my iPad probably blew up. ;)

I'm on a iPad pro 12.9 2 gen. That might be the problem in my case. I have solved my latency problem, in big projects, by using Astropads Luna on my M1 Mac mini and the iPad version of ASP. It's almost like painting on the iPad natively. :)

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Re: Tilt

I've been playing around with tilt in the desktop version. The problem is the low sensitivity of the tilt so adding global option to be able to change a global value of tilt would solve the problem as you suggested above. I'm using a Huion Kamvas 16 2021 but my Wacom intuos 4L seems to be affected too.

Will v4.0 be a continuation or a new buy? I wouldn't mind paying for the new v4.0 if it helps you to work full time with ASP and maybe get the resources to work on the desktop version in the future.
