Tried copy and copy merged. Still blank pattern.

For a regular (not rubber stamp) brush. This would allow for much more sophisticated non-destructive retouch. Useless for "normal" of course.

Pleeeeese!

It retains this feature. BTW.What does it do with rectangle brush?

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Photoshop iPadPro 2019
on: October 30, 2018, 03:14:16 PM
So, we saw it working during the Apple event keynote. 12Kx12K pixels with hundreds of layers on iPad Pro 2018. Hard to believe they can pull it without having a top (1TB) model.

BTW. New pencil's alt click would be also very handy for switching tools or anything else.

This would be very helpful for creating seamless textures.

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Serious bug

Sometimes a layer is getting clipped by a non-existing mask. Turning it off and on doesn't help. Selecting something on it, then deleting, then restoring helps.

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Merging masks to combine them
on: September 23, 2018, 07:27:29 PM
Right now, if you have multiple masks, only the top one applies, then when you merge them all others are gone. That's not the purpose of having multiple mask layers.

Perhaps in the future we can have full Boolean merge...

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Merge all to a new layer
on: September 23, 2018, 07:12:06 PM
Needed very often when you like the look but don't want to destroy the layers. This is almost like saving versions. It's possible with select all > copy merged > paste, but being able to do it in one pass would be great. Or, maybe even more powerful, to have a feature "always merge to new layer" somewhere on preferences.

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Scale beyond the memory capacity
on: September 23, 2018, 07:06:57 PM
Tried to scaled a layer way beyond the canvas and perhaps beyond the ASP memory allotment. Waited for a long time, then it crashed. When trying to re-open it takes forever then either crash or freeze. Had to wait long time then delete the layer. Ended up having blown it in a separate artwork, crop to the canvas, then copy/pasted to the original one.

I wonder if this feature can help to solve this: adding an option to crop to the canvas boundaries when process scaling up (maybe in "more"). This is needed when the canvas is already hi-res and you need to blow a layer detail "out of proportion".

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / One mode
on: August 29, 2018, 02:48:59 PM
When I've tried to figure out why I'm not using full-screen mode, I realize it only gives me little screen real estate savings (70 px width and 90 px height) but removes all the things I use frequently. I know the goal is to fight for every pixel, especially while not having the benefits of the 24" monitor. That's why the Procreate minimalistic UI got so popular. But not for me - it still lacks so many things I use. Here I thought that using a megamenu instead of the more traditional desktop drop-down top menu can come in handy. And the top bar can house all the necessary icons. Yes, there is no "Layer" menu, because all layer functions can be handled in the Layers window. Both, top icon bar and mega menu, have to be customizable. Just the idea...

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Voting for features
on: August 26, 2018, 01:21:22 PM
Wouldn't it be great to have a top post with the list of suggested things and the voting mechanism to figure out popularity? Better transform, paint mask and selection edge refine tools would be my top choices. Vectors would be great, but it's much bigger deal to add. With all those (and the plugins Dev tools), ASP can take on PS and Affinity Photo. The strongest part is that it's the only professional app today that works equally well on desktop and mobile. Well, considering the limits of the mobile of course...

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / More intuitive transform
on: August 24, 2018, 07:10:43 PM
We talked about it a lot. Here is, as I think, how transform function can be made much easier and always at the fingertips. I'm not sure there is a need for all additional controls in the full-screen mode, but they can be invoked, for example, with the "more..." button.

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Moving UI elements around
on: August 19, 2018, 06:51:29 PM
is the hardest thing to get used to. This is a main reason for me not to use the full screen mode at all, except for the better view. Sliders and undo/redo button are not just change their positions, it means using g different hand to operate them in different modes. I know you tried to save same pixels in the full mode, but this is a wrong approach.

It was finally fixed, i.e. it'd stay on or off, depending of the last choice, but after the last upgrade it's back to random behavior. Usually it's on when one returns to the transformation window.
