I want to remind you of these Autoshape suggestions:

I vote for the optional disabling of split screen in the preferences (if possible), that would at least solve the issue for everyone who is not using split views, like me

I was afraid Apple is forcing the dots, i can’t think of a good solution at the moment

I just noticed That iOS 15 made you add the 3 dots at the top which increases the size of the toolbar significantly and looks off now. I don’t like that, is Apple forcing you to keep the 3 dots at the top? If not I want to suggest a setting that turns it off to get the more compact toolbar back  ;)

Im not sure if i should leave other drawing modes…

Drawing modes are better than autoshape when you need to draw a lot of shapes after each other, because it’s slow when you have to wait for the autoshape to snap into the shape you need over and over again. (Imagine drawing a lot of boxes in different perspectives using the autoshape VS the line drawing tool  :o) I am not sure if you would need that for rectangle or circle, but I definitely need the line drawing mode to draw with only straight lines. I remember how annoying it was in procreate to draw with straight lines using their quick shape and moved to sketchbook pro for line drawings just because they had a line drawing tool. I don’t need it often anymore, but that is one reason to keep it in addition to the autoshape

Just curious, what is your undo steps number in Settings?

I found out that comfort number for me is 10. This number keeps memory usage in decent way. Higher numbers eat all free memory.

That’s a very low setting, I have it max (100) all the time but never experienced problems (iPad Air 3)

You know, it would be immensely helpful to actually hear from the developers here who can explain or tell us what’s going on and why this still hasn’t been fixed yet? It doesn’t help the cause if they’re not here answering our questions.

You know what doesn’t help at all? You posting the same thing over and over and over… Stop it already, the developers will be back when they are back  :-X

Help / Re: What is automatically backed up into iCloud?

You can actually, there is folder located in „on my iPad -> Artstudio Pro -> user resources -> presets“. I currently export it manually though because I want to have control over what exactly I backup. If that folder was saved into iCloud instead, it would probably be a sufficient backup

Or instead of saving the user resources locally, they can just move/copy them over to the iCloud folder, super simple

Saving Artwork in iCloud is great, I would like all the other custom things to be saved too because it takes time to regularly export all of it manually to avoid losing it for whatever reason since I spend a lot of time creating all the brushes/pattern/etc

- custom brushes
- custom brush heads
- custom patterns
- custom color palettes

all automatically saved into iCloud so we can install/reinstall ASP on a new device and all these things are restored?

I only saw artwork in the iCloud folder but no settings/user resources

Okay, so this is something odd I noticed a while back when going back in forth between different drawing apps. I noticed in Artstudio Pro, when you put the apple pencil on the screen and start drawing, the line doesn’t instantly appear.

Like, When drawing really slowly with a brush, there appears to be a half-second (sometimes even full second) delay between the pencil connecting to the screen and the pixels actually appearing. The more you're zoomed out, the delay gets worse (especially if your brush size is small).

Yeah, I get it’s sort of a minor thing (it's almost unnoticeable if you drawing at a regular pace or faster), but it’s been bugging me since I noticed it (especially since other art apps I’ve used didn’t exhibit this). Plus it’s making drawing multiple, short little lines, slowly on my art a little irritating.

Again it's a minor thing, but I thought it was at least something to made aware off.

UnluckyFrank try decreasing the spacing of the brush stamp to minimum and see if it still happens

Help / Re: How to remove background from scanned drawings?
on: August 28, 2021, 06:30:09 AM
Is there any quick way to remove the paper background from scanned drawings and watercolor paintings?
I have some watercolor animals I created I want to "cut out" so the background is transparent, that way I can reuse them for other designs.
I used to know how to do that with photoshop fairly easily, is there any quick way to do that in Artstudio pro?
Thank you!

How did you do it in photoshop?
