Please, make optional placement of quickmenu: how it works now and always centered. When menu appears always in one place, it’s easier to remember exact screen position of elements and tap it faster. Especially now when there are more buttons and it less size.

When I tap eraser and open brush panel, I see the same brush as it was in paint mode, but eraser is different. If you change eraser there and tap paint icon, you see this eraser in brushes panel, but actually paint brush didn’t change.

If you gonna fix this, please make also automatically turning off erase blending mode if new color was color-picking from canvas. This will seriously fasten my workflow.

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Docked panels behavior

We have crosses on each panel which closes panel. Tap on panel icons in top right corner also closes panel. It's good when panel is undocked. But quite often when some of panels are already opened and docked to screen, I accidentaly by habit tap on panel icon in top right corner and it closes. After that you need to open it and move it to dock it back.
Would be good to check: if panel is docked on screen, then do nothing  by icon tapping. So, we can close docked panels only with crosses on panels. This will improve user experience.

I had same question about dedicated transform button in main top toolbar. But the Lucky Clan’s answer was “no”. Maybe now he would change his mind :) we have move tool, but I rarely use it, preferring transform. The fastest way to operate with transform now is quick menu.

Why do you even hit save? I have autosaving in settings every 3 minutes. It does its job perfectly.

Yeah, it’s not that urgent, but maybe some day when you’ll have no ideas what else to do :)

Idea of my first message is that desktop apps have there work area. Artstudio work area is nearly 100% of screen. Now, when you can dock panels that covers screen, you may want to reduce screen work area. Ideally, would have option to set work area manual. So, canvas is still can be on 100% of screen, but would fit in this work area after pinch in with 2 fingers.

I’m ok with cursor shape. The only downside, it looks a bit ugly on closeups. Border line is too thick, so you really can’t see good what is under it sometimes. Would be good to have width of shape lines the same size on all zoom canvas values.

Is it possible to add in settings position of canvas when you pinch out with two fingers to make it fill 100% height? Now it centered by width. It was good when there were no on top panels. Now I use all panels on left side. Color panel is always on. Other panels just show on left. So, would be good to have settings to move pinched out canvas to right side (or to left side for left handed people, or still centered for people who get used to it).

Agree about rubber design, it needs too much work. Maybe just option on/off for one line menu in settings? If people have big screens they will be using it for sure, less menus - faster work. If they have small screen iPad or use it in a vertical orientation, then they just won’t turn it on in settings. I think it’s easier to add then autohiding of menu.

At the moment, this menu looks a bit out of place. It pulls down all opened panels (color, reference, layers, etc) for the height of this bar. Also it makes canvas less size when quick pinch it.

I never draw in vertical orientation. But for that case I’d make it full menu in one line in landscape and closed under 3 lines icon in vertical orientation. Or if it is problem, just to make this one line menu on/off in setting, and when it is on to disable rotation to vertical.

This look is closer to traditional apps like photoshop, a few people here asked about it.

Like rubber design in html, site’s look depends on user’s screen.

Would be good for app to change interface a bit in landscape version if user have ipad 12.9. It has lots of free space in top bar and all of menus can be in one line. It would save one line of free space because I have menu opened all the time, and just looks better.

When you open second document from gallery, color panel can’t be opened.

I moved completely from Procreate to Artstudio and missing two functions here:

1. You can preview your artworks in gallery in full screen mode by pinch two fingers without spending time to open file in edit mode. Would be good to have smth like that in Artstudio.

2. Time counter. Procreate counts seconds that your artwork is opened and store it in statistics section of file. So, you always know how much time you worked on each illustration without other instruments like calendars/timers/etc. This function is really good and helpful. I think it is not that hard to implement it in Artstudio, you can just add number of seconds past from last autosave when you save/autosave file. If it’s possible, that would be great.

Some fantasy artwork.

Done in Artstudio 3.0

It is much easier to put 2 fingers on screen at the same time then 3 fingers. I see that sometimes when you do redo, one finger goes a bit faster then other twos.

I tried to use quick menu placed on on finger, but it lead to so many accidental touches so i got back to 4 fingers touch on quick menu. Its not that fast but much more stable.
