Setting the background color for new files just makes the button flash but the picker does not appear

2021 ipad pro 12.9
Ipad os 17.2
App version 5.1.21

Delete the expired ASP beta app. Had this same thing happen to me a month ago

Thank you for the tip! I'll try this on mine

Currently I have to use CSP any time I use that layer type, so I have to do pretty much the full picture until I need that layer type. This will help so long as brightness adjustment isn't needed

Why not use PureRef? I suppose it lacks color picking but it should cover your bases on desktop

I found the issue!

I had an old artstudio pro beta app that expired. Once i deleted the beta app, all of the thumbnails began to appear once again

6
Thank you for the reply, weird that any thumbnails I generate are failing on mine and others

Ive updated to ipad OS 17, no luck on getting thumbnails, even on new files

Modifying an old file causes a blank generic thumbnail to generate

I couldn't get the file to send at all over telegram, i had to zip the ASP first and send it to a friend on os 16. He modified it and it continued to have a generic thumbnail

Also tried to create files local-only, with no icloud link but still had thumbnail issues

Exporting it as a psd does generate a thumbnail for the psd

Any suggestions on what i could try? Also curious if this is cropping up on yours or anyone else's end

No idea why my font is huge

My thumbnails stopped generating previews a bit ago, making it hard to browse at a glance. I was guessing it was an issue on apple’s part, but i’m posting here just in case. Is anyone else getting this issue?

Hello, recently I've been trying to make repeating tile textures in ASP. One of my speedbumps is that I have to apply the offset filter to layers one at a time, and can't do it to a group or multiple selected layers. Would it be possible for this function to be added, or a way to offset the entire canvas/file?

Thank you both for the replies and suggestions, I’ll try saving my files outside of iCloud as well as manually saving to mitigate issues until Apple hopefully fixes this

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / App instability

Hi! Recently there’s been a good chunk of crashes and other stability issues for me. I’ve been trying to track down when or what makes them occur, but I’m mostly posting to see if anyone else is having the issue (and for awareness)

About twice in the past week I’ve lost hours worth of progress because the app crashed without auto saving. I’ve been trying to save manually to minimize errors lately. My hardware is the 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 with 16GB RAM

Today I had an issue crop up where I was no longer able to use the undo function. Most functions in the menus were grayed out (including save) and I couldn’t continue work until exiting the app entirely and reopening it. This particular lock happened after setting my canvas to the ref window, but I haven’t replicated it

The feature looks so much worse than what a bit of shading practice can do. It didn't work at all well for most of my art, and I think most people would be hard pressed to consider it helpful or an improvement on manual shading

Interesting to see people don't really want 3D tools when it's been on my "unlikely wishlist" ever since I textured a model in procreate. I'd never expect it, but it was so nice to do on my iPad

I'd love to have a few more tools focused on filling lineart personally

I agree on the reference thing, sometimes it would be nice to have multiple open kinda like PureRef on desktop

More perspective and grid tools would be nice, I'm crossing my fingers for the lines to get opacity as an option on the grid guides

Being able to clip entire folders would be nice too!

Ok dude. I was just sharing its being featured.  ::)

This is kind of unnecessarily hostile. They weren't at all being rude with their response
