Hello!
When returning to Gallery,
The thumbnails are showing just as ArtStudio logo and not the art itself . Makes it really hard to know which one is which before opening.
Any chance to look into that?

Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs / Request: Remove iPadOS 17 layer options menu animation

After updating to iPadOS 17, there is a reveal animation when you tap the layer thumbnail to get the layer options.
I think the immediate menu appearing when you tap is better, as it was before, without this slow scale animation that takes time and slows down the process when working with a lot of layers.

Nice suggestions! All would be a great workflow improvement
Also would be nice if you could :
- Double tap the panel header collapses the panel (keeps just the top title part) temporarily. Double tap again to open again.
-Have an option in preferences to resize all floating panels to 75%

I agree
I think Artstudio can still design a better Gallery system that doesn’t take you out of the visual aesthetics of ASP , with similar functionality to the iPadOS Files app but visually better looking.
I saw that Pixelmator newest version (couple days ago) implemented something like that with larger thumbnails.
ASP can even do better I’m sure 👌

Hello!
Just thought that this would be a very nice feature to have.
Sometimes having a couple of floating panels crowd the UI, I know you can disable them once in a while. But i do like to keep some of them open, like the layers and color panel.
Could there be an option in preferences that allows for scaling all floating panels down by, say, 75% ? That would be really cool for some users.
And they can switch back to 100% when they want

That would be great. I ran into the same problem.
Erase mode should react the same way to eraser preference (in regards to ignoring ransparency lock or not)

Yes the puck animation looks cool.
But only gets distracting when picking colors frequently from one side to the other (of the color box) and when you see the animation frames ghosting. It grabs some attention.
If sometime you reconsider that would be cool.
But I trust your opinion of course

I noticed this, and I thought it was a bug as well:)
It was my previous request to remove this animation in all color panels so that they are all consistent without animation.
This type of sliding animation becomes annoying after a while, especially when choosing colors that are close to each other.
Maybe my request was misunderstood:)
Hope for reconsidering this, and removing the pointer animation in all panels please

Regarding Reference window:
Would it be possible to make the preview “Live”?
For example while painting with the brush: to see the brush stroke while you are painting it, not only after you release the Apple Pencil?
That would be really nice if doable.

Hi!
Just a tiny request here:
On the color panel, the first mode “the color circle” : when you tap anywhere within it , the color pointer jumps immediately to where you click , which is nice and fast. It’s what you’d expect.
But on other color palette modes (even the square version from the first palette mode) the color pointer shifts position with an animation, which isn’t necessary and stands out especially if you want to pick colors frequently and quickly.
I guess it would be good to keep the color pointer behaviour the same across the panels (just like how it is in the circle mode) without the animation, it will also make that experience consistent.
