And not for very large files. 4000x4000 with just 2-3 layers. Is this the memory problem or Apple's lame iOS file system? Does it slow when photo library has hundreds of photos?
-
Please close all apps staying in background and reboot the device.
If it doest help - tell me which ipad/iphone model do you have, and if possible send me video recording showing everything from app launch to crash
-
Rebooted. Worked for some time, then happened again. It's not specifically "add layer from photos" problem as you can see on theater. It's communicating with photo library in general.
-
Dont you have similar problem in any other app?
Can you send me a video?
-
The only other app I use with the photo library is iColorama. It never crashed on opening a photo. Video is not going to tell you anything, since it's only one step problem. Besides, it's totally random.

Please give me few more details:
- iPad model
- iOS version
- Artstudio Pro version (check in Artstudio->About)
-
IPad Pro first generation (A1584)
iOS 11.2.1
ArtStudio Pro 1.0.6
Capacity 32 GB (available 10.35 GB)

I have no idea what is going on, i never had such problem, nobody reported similar bug.
Maybe video would give me some ideas...
As a workaround you can open Photos app, and send Photo to Artstudio.
Or use drag and drop.
Or copy to clipboard in Photos, and tap File->New->New From Clipboard in Artstudio.

True, it rarely does it on the first opening. Usually after working for some time. Alas, once it crashed right in the gallery. Using clipboard is possible, but that would take more of the precious memory.
