Title: How to stretch an image?

I used to use a desktop art program that allowed me to add ‘nodes’ to multiple spots along a selection and use those nodes to selectively stretch and custom skew and image. Is there a way to do this in ArtStudio? If so, how? And if not, please add it.

Also... We *should* be able to past into a selection.

It sounds like you are talking about a vector illustration program. From what I understand, a pen tool for drawing vector shape is coming in the future.

I think you can add few Guidelines (first use View>Show Rulers, then drag guidelines from rulers), then use Edit>Transform and choose mode to Free.

Are you referring to those blue guidelines that show up periodically? I kept turning that off because I didn’t know what they were for. Can you explain more?

Guidelines are mainly used to SNAP moved/transformed elements to vertical or horizontal lines.
Snapping is used in the following cases:
- moving layer with Move tool
- transforming layer (Edit > Transform)
- Crop tool
- painting tools
- select tools
