Title: How to create a brush?

Hi,

I learned to make brushes in Adobe and also the old version of ArtStudio, but can’t seem to master it in the Pro version.  For example, I want to make brushes that will create parallel lines that curve, as if I were dragging a rake through the sand.  I make several stacked circles and export as a brush, but when I go to use the brush, it simply draws a square shape: no separate lines or even circle shapes.

Can anyone talk me through this step by step?  Or post a good tutorial about how to use brushes?

Prepare black shape on white background. Don’t use transparent background, because it is treated as black color when adding a brush preset.
