That would be very useful and a time saver.

It's a nice little practical feature in Procreate, I'd love if ASP has it too, speeds up the workflow and it makes sense to paste in place right after cutting something. (In addition to the pure cut function)

Maybe add a type of panelbutton, like the ones we can add ourselves from the menus, that supports a very simple script language to do menu actions? I mean, just a simple actionlist without conditions and other language features. That way Artstudio gets less cluttered and more personalized.

There is layer via copy and layer via paste in the edit menu that do what you are after, pretty sure.

Choose in the top menu: Layer > Add > Add Layer Via Cut
