Title: Shading without overlapping

When shading, each time I move my finger back over the same area, the area becomes increasingly dark. Is there a setting so that each time I move my fingers back over pixels already shaded, those pixels do not become increasingly dark i.e. each pixel is the same darkness?

Maybe shade on a separate layer, and decrease layers opacity?
